    At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an experienced Registered Medical Radiation Technologist to support our Medical Imaging – X-ray Department at our Mount Sinai Hospital Campus.

    This is a temporary assignment which is expected to last for approximately nine (9) months.

    The Medical Imaging department provides an environment for leading edge clinical practice, teaching and research programs in Radiography. The /7 main department conducts a large volume of various types of Radiography exams for patient populations from the Emergency department to Outpatients and Inpatients.

    The responsibilities of the Registered Medical Radiation Technologist include but are not limited to:

  • Perform medical imaging procedures
  • Operate, troubleshoot and ensure medical imaging and ancillary equipment is performing in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare written and electronic reports required documenting all procedures and test results
  • Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities
  • Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
  • Perform cross-functional/site responsibilities as assigned
  • Job Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program, or recognized equivalent preferred Consideration for hire may also be given to applicants currently enrolled in an accredited degree/post diploma Radiological Technology program – as a condition of hire the Radiological Technology program must be successfully completed within six (6) months of hire
  • The applicant must hold a certificate of registration in the specialty of Radiography from the CAMRT
  • Current Registration with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists on Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification
  • Level 1 and Level 2 CT (preferred)
  • Membership with the CAMRT (preferred)
  • CR and Digital Radiography experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated attributes that foster a positive working environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively as a team member and work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • Effective body language and people management skills with the ability to demonstrate sensitivity when dealing with intimate patient contact situations
