    Description

    Your Opportunity:

    • Complex Medical Detox (CMD) is a specialized unit with a focus on acute and complex medical patients.
    • We are seeking nurses who are passionate about patient-centered care and have experience in working with high-acuity clients.
    • The ideal candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing holistic care and support to individuals in need.
    • This position requires strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills, with a background in acute medical/surgical nursing.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in addiction and mental health.
    • We are looking for independent thinkers who can problem solve, think critically, and deliver evidence-based care.
    • If you are dedicated to advocating for patients and their families, and have a strong understanding of addiction and recovery principles, this role is for you.

    Description:

    As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing a wide range of nursing services while ensuring the safety and well-being of your patients. Your role will involve utilizing critical thinking and decision-making skills to deliver quality care, educate patients and families, and advocate on their behalf. You will play a key role in promoting holistic patient care and health maintenance.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
    • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.

    Additional Required Qualifications:

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with intravenous infusions, IV medication administration, phlebotomy, and critical care is beneficial.
