What you'll do:


As a
Material Handler at Voyis you will have a wide scope of work with exposure to all elements of our products.

This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is focused on receiving incoming parts & conducting basic inspection, managing inventory, delivering materials to manufacturing, and packaging finished goods for customer delivery.

You will generally be supporting the production and engineering teams to ensure parts and materials are available when needed.

The role will leverage your organizational skills to ensure products are received in a timely manner and efficiently set in the warehouse.


We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and help continuously improve the materials handling process as we grow our operations.

We are a small team with lots of opportunities to solve interesting problems and have an impact on improving our operations.

Everyone is expected to take ownership and go beyond the minimum requirements to achieve our goals, together.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Receiving shipments into inventory.
  • Basic visual & functional inspection.
  • Picking and reconciling work orders for manufacturing.
  • Staging and packing product for shipping.
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory in the warehouse and receiving area.
  • Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, recording location and reporting shortages.
  • Performing inventory counts.
  • Documenting materials and recording movement in the system.
  • Supporting other teams as needed

Note this is an in-person role at our headquarters in Waterloo.


Skills you will bring to the table:

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and analyze information
  • Excellent time management
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of inventory control
  • Data entry skills including experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Bonus Points for:


  • Experience with shipping and receiving
  • Experience with picking and kitting
  • Experience with machined parts inspection
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite
