Purpose:


Under the direction of the Manager, Nursing Practicum Coordination Office (NPCO), this position provides general administrative/secretarial support to the Manager and excellent service to the School of Nursing students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

Assists with the smooth coordination of the practicum experience for Nursing students. This includes responding to students and faculty queries. supporting the verification process of required practicum documents. updating materials, Affiliation Agreements and School websites.

creating, maintaining and updating student and agency databases, preparing all legal forms (e.g., affiliation agreements, contracts and liability certificates), liaises between School of Nursing and affiliates, organizes events and seminars, and supports relevant committees.


Education:

Completion of High School Diploma and post-secondary secretarial training required. University undergraduate degree an asset.


Experience:


2 years recent related administrative/secretarial/program coordination experience, including scheduling administrative processes, working with diverse cultural groups, and liaising with external clinical agencies.

Experience with affiliation agreements and contracts. Experience working with relational databases (e.g., HSPnet). Familiarity with academic practicum program. Committee support including minute taking.

MS Office (Word, Excel, at an intermediate level)
E-mail software and calendaring (e.g., Outlook).
Experience working with on-line student records system (e.g., SIS-PES/ COS).
Ability to use Internet effectively and to perform searches.
