Join the Finning family Finning is seeking a Yard / Warehouseperson to join our team located at our Wirtanen, Edmonton branch.

As the Yard / Warehouseperson you are responsible for assisting with the daytoday warehouse and yard activities for the Branch.

Job Description:

Cleaning, inspecting and coiling cables Counting and verifying cable orders to ensure accuracy in inventory tracking Receives order requests and preps orders for shipment Assists rental counter personnel in selection of "rental ready" equipment upon request Provides assistance to shop technicians ensuring readytorent equipment is presented in an orderly manner Installs service tags on equipment returned from rental Moves rental ready equipment back to proper storage areas following routine maintenance procedures by service shop Maintains yard organiztion and cleanliness to align with Finning's housekeeping and safety standards Will be involved in washing and/or performing light maintenance on rental and shop equipment Provides assistance to the shipping and receiving area as needed. Work as part of the team to meet the branch commitment to customer satisfaction Perform other related duties as requested Qualifications:

Due to physical nature of the work, a requirement of the job is to be considered fit for work

Employee may be required to undergo a "fitness to work" assessment Will be involved in washing and/or performing light maintenance on rental equipment Possesses sufficient mechanical skills to perform and/or recommend minor equipment repairs Minimum three months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, compact construction equipment, large construction equipmentFamiliarity with heavy equipment or a similar industry would be considered an asset Team player with a keen attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities Note: This position requires frequent lifting and significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions
