Behaviour Management Specialist - Community Support
Community Support - Corner Brook/Stephenville, NL
DUTIES: Develops and oversees the delivery of community-based intervention programs to assist families and community organizations in meeting the needs of individuals with significant developmental delays who exhibit severe behavior problems; assesses problem behaviors and prepares technical reports; develops and implements programs; actively participates in the ISSP process (Individual Support Services Plan); consults and partners with other professionals in the social services, health and education fields; provides training to care providers, support staff, and community agencies as required; and delivers individualized skill-teaching programs.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Knowledge of individual program planning, functional analysis, developmental process, program design, treatment ethics, and behavior management techniques combined with strong oral and written communication skills, management and analytical skills, and the ability to work as a member of a team. A Bachelor's Degree in one of the social sciences with major course work in program design and behavior modification is required. Experience working with individuals with developmental delays is required
*A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
Note: Use of a private vehicle is a condition of employment.
Hours of Work: 75 Hours per pay period
Monday to Friday.
Flexible work hours and weekends are required
Salary Scale: $35.42 to $39.58 per hour
