Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team at Paloma Tacos & Tequila.
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring high-quality and consistent food presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring spices, following recipes and portion guidelines.
- Cook and plate dishes according to recipe specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards and presentation guidelines.
- Operate various kitchen equipment, such as grills, fryers, ovens, and sauté stations, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of all menu items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients, and maintaining appropriate temperature controls.
- Assist in the development of new menu items, including contributing ideas and participating in tastings and evaluations.
- Monitor ingredient inventory levels, inform the Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager of shortages, and assist in restocking as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of potentially hazardous materials and equipment.
- Support and assist other kitchen staff in various tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality dishes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet fast-paced service demands.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus but not required.

Salary:
$18.00-$21.00 per hour
