Hotel Overview


Pan Pacific Toronto Hotel, a Hotel Equity Hotel managed property is an exquisite property nestled in 15 acres of inspiring parkland.

With 409 intimate guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of meeting space, three restaurants and lounge in North Toronto, we are uniquely positioned to host a broad range of corporate, government, and leisure groups.


Job Summary
Responsible to maintain hotel's pool area for the safety and cleanliness for guests.


Qualifications

  • Current Lifeguard certificate (dated 2 years or less)
  • Standard CPR certification and First Aid Training
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Daily Tasks

  • Picks up debris from the pool and possess basic cleaning skills.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Assists with set up and breakdown for poolside activities as needed.
  • Visually and interactively monitors guest satisfaction on pool decks in regards to guest experience and overall enjoyment levels.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with coworkers.
  • Submit and report incidents to the appropriate manager and to security.
  • Fold and Distribute towels, offer assistance with seating, and delivering consistent guest service, exceeding guest expectations, and providing all other supporting services
  • Resolves guest complaints in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Documents and reports all equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to centre Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Clean off all equipment each day.
Break down and setting up of all pool equipment, chaise lounges, umbrellas, etc.

Performs all other duties as assigned.


Health & Safety

  • Every worker must protect his/her own health & safety by working in compliance with the law and with safe work practices and procedures as established by the company including:
  • Reporting the accident or injury to your manager right away. Incidents, which are not reported within 24 hours of occurrence, could result in performance management.
  • If medical attention required or lost time occurs, must have ongoing contact with Claims Manager, Department Manager and Human Resources to identify suitable work and actively participate in the return to work programs.
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA Act.
  • Use or wear the equipment, protective devises or clothing that is required by the employer.
  • Report to his/her supervisor or manager any defect in equipment or protective devices of which the worker is aware and which may endanger them or another worker.
  • Report to his/her supervisor or manager any contravention of the OHSA Act or policy.
  • Report to his/her supervisor or managers any hazards observed.
  • Remove or make ineffective any protective devices required to be worn without providing an adequate temporary protective device and when the need for removing or making ineffective the protective device has stopped, the protective devise shall be replaced immediately.
  • Use or operate any equipment, machine or device on which he/she has not been trained to safety use.
  • Work in a manner that may endanger him/herself or any other worker.
  • Engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct.
