Job Title/Short Summary

The Commercial Finance team is responsible for managing all day-to-day operational aspects of Vendor and Dealer relationships as it relates to inventory financing at DLL Canada.

The responsibilities include customer service, risk management, and identifying growth opportunities within DLL's customer base.

The Account Manager will be the key contact with our customers and will manage all operational activities of an assigned portfolio, including new customer set-up, operational reviews, credit condition satisfaction, and audit reconciliation.

Additionally, the Account Manager will be responsible for providing collection efforts on past due deficiencies, managing approvals, and working closely with DLL's Credit Team to obtain appropriate credit approval.

The Account Manager is also responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and in compliance. Any exceptions to DLL's policies will be escalated for appropriate approval.


Day to Day Day to day**:

  • Serving as a primary customer service contact and responding in a timely fashion, with accuracy to all customer issues;
  • Building, leveraging, and maintaining relationships to drive growth with customers;
  • Monitoring and controlling the operating performance of payments, deficiencies, liquidations and financial trends on assigned portfolio;
  • Providing recommendations on credit reviews, including timely collection of financial statements, legal documents, and other credit requirements;
  • Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager by thinking strategically to address critical operational requirements, ranging from process inefficiencies to suggestions for training requirements. Identify opportunities for recovery of defaulted account delinquency and work with inhouse/external Counsel, and the Commercial Finance Manager.
  • Ensuring any customers' funding transactions are handled in a timely fashion;
  • Scheduling, reviewing and reconciling inventory inspections, cash/bank deposits, billofsale audits, and other customer discrepancies;
  • Monitoring assigned portfolio for signs of elevated risk;
  • Collaborating with the internal and external Retail Finance teams on the development of retail financing opportunities; and
  • Other duties as required

The Account Managers objective is to balance internal policies and procedures, while servicing, controlling and growing the existing customer base, and maintaining a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include working with the Credit, Commercial, and Portfolio Services teams to ensure compliance with corporate policy and resolution of operational issues.
