TERM:
Four (4) month contract (May-August), FTE 1.0


SALARY:
$ per hour, commensurate with skills and experience

Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute ("CHEO RI") is the research arm of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario - Ottawa Children's Treatment Centre ("CHEO") and an affiliated institute of the University of Ottawa.

CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Product Coordinator.


CHEO has recently launched an innovation team called TECHi (Technology Enabling Child Health Innovations), whose purpose is to create a rich support ecosystem designed for healthcare innovators who aim to improve the lives of children and youth.

We are seeking a Business student to fill the Product Coordinator role. The position will focus on the improving the interaction between the healthcare, business and research worlds.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general supervision of the Product Manager, the Product Coordinator will:

  • assist TECHi in helping researchers, clinicians and early-stage companies navigate through the innovation roadmap, in support of their product development and commercialization.
- specific tasks could include: o refining CHEO's innovation roadmap o market research o sourcing and drafting tools or resources for innovators o assisting with business plan development o project coordination o liaising with CHEO's Communication team o general administrative support
- other related duties as assigned by supervisor


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES

  • Postsecondary education in a business/commerce related field (Essential)
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office) (Essential)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and
- organizational skills (Essential)

  • Demonstrated collegiality, professionalism and team skills (Essential)
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently (Essential)
  • Bilingualism (English/French) (preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid work model that would include both remote work and onsite work.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Eligible to work in Canada;
  • Compliance with CHEO RI's Universal COVID19 Vaccination Policy; and
  • Police Record Check.
