Description

Job purpose:

To set and control all the processing parameters and auxiliary equipment functions to ensure parts produced are in accordance with quality specifications; provide improvements and efficiencies relating to processes through data collection, process trouble shooting, machine start-ups and new mold trials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Start up and shut down of machines following Start Up work instruction
Troubleshooting equipment and issues that impact part quality and machine efficiencies
Monitoring & documentation of machine parameters & part attributes
Drive cycle time efficiency
Completes and records inprocess checks at required intervals, including but not limited to:
Weights
Quality Specifications
First Article/Last off
Knowledge of product quality and the ability to follow through in the implementation of corrective action
Assists in various trials, which may include material, process, or validation
Complies with all corporate policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Administration rules (OHSA) while working
Utilizes ERP as requiredentering weights and verifying weights to standard and taking action to meet standards and log start up scrap
Supports QMS and continuous quality improvement
To wear any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the Company; report to a manager or supervisor any known missing or defective equipment, protective device or known workplace hazard that may be dangerous to any worker and do not use or operate any equipment or work in a way that may endanger himself/herself or any other employee
Completes all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma
Must possess a complete understanding of machine operations and associated equipment
Mechanically inclined with cause and effect thinking
Selfmotivated, decisive and pro active
Computer savvy
Fall arrest training completed
Lock out training completed
