In parallel, we will work together to deliver seamless, efficient, and timely navigation to access specialized care at Princess Margaret, when, and if, the need arises.

The Planning Associate role will be an integral member of the PM team and High Definition Therapeutics portfolio.

Reporting to the Director for the Regional Cancer Program, the Planning Associate will be responsible for coordination of strategic projects as well as support for project planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation.

The Planning Associate will also support a number of regional projects in partnership with cancer centres across Toronto.


Responsibilities may include:


  • Assists with leading complex projects and the management of project plans, such as: status reports, budgets and forecasting, requirements gathering, workflow and process design, implementation, process oversight and analysis
  • Assists with data gathering and analysis, developing project management methodology, producing briefing notes, undertaking impact analyses, communicating and presenting projects, designing project evaluations; and generating reports for and in support of executive leadership
  • Synthesizes information, interprets and uses critical thinking skills to draw conclusions that inform recommendations for highlevel decisionmaking
  • Supports strategic planning activities for the Cancer Centre and High Definition Therapeutics portfolio, including but not limited to conducting environmental scans, information synthesis, metrics collection and analysis
  • Supports creation of key communication documents, including briefing notes, presentations to executive leadership, and more
  • Supports the implementation of accountability of local and regional initiatives
  • Resolves problems in an expedient and efficient manner that often requires individual judgment to solve problems through making informed recommendations for the appropriate course of action
  • Liaises with other programs and departments to ensure efficient coordination and completion of projects
  • Coordinates the preparation and analysis of reports for distribution to internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Performs crossfunctional and/or other duties consistent with the job c
