Today, we operate sophisticated transport services from terminals along the Windsor-Quebec City 401 corridor, with a fleet of over 450 owner-operators, and 500+ employees operating out of seven main terminals.

With construction on an additional three sites currently underway.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is the delivery of customer's freight in a productive, safe, error free, and time sensitive manner.

The Owner Operator will ensure freight is properly delivered with the proper bill control and supporting documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials over long distances.

Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods.

Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage.

Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.

Administer bills of lading and electronically maintain logbooks.

Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers.

May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.

All other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

2 years of Commercial Driving Experience
