Research Technician


Sunnybrook Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) has an opening for a temporary full-time,
Research Technician in the laboratory of Dr.

David Andrews. The position will be available for 1 year contract with possibility for renewal.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Prior experience as a technician in a biochemistry and/or molecular biology laboratory with diverse scientific interests; knowledge in "biophysics" is preferred
  • Essential experience includes: Laboratory methods such as spectroscopy, protein expression and purification, enzyme assays, western blotting. Molecular biology skills required include plasmid DNA preparation, PCR, standard cloning methods.
  • Excellent record keeping and the ability to perform contract research for collaborations with pharmaceutical companies
