Sunnybrook Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) has an opening for a temporary full-time,
Research Technician in the laboratory of Dr.

David Andrews. The position will be available for 1 year contract with possibility for renewal.

Skills and Qualifications:

Prior experience as a technician in a biochemistry and/or molecular biology laboratory with diverse scientific interests; knowledge in "biophysics" is preferred
Essential experience includes: Laboratory methods such as spectroscopy, protein expression and purification, enzyme assays, western blotting. Molecular biology skills required include plasmid DNA preparation, PCR, standard cloning methods.
Excellent record keeping and the ability to perform contract research for collaborations with pharmaceutical companies
