    Introduction

We are seeking a Quality and Coordination Specialist to join our Canadian Service Center team. You will be responsible for leading all Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and administrative coordination activities that support safe, compliant, and efficient repair execution. This includes driving adherence to global repair quality standards, managing inspection and reporting processes, and overseeing end‑to‑end repair order workflow from quotation through invoicing. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring that every repair meets Metso's safety, quality, financial, and customer satisfaction expectations. In this position, you will report to the Service Center Manager.

This position is mainly located in Canada, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

    Team you belong to

You will join a team of repair operations and technical quality specialists dedicated to delivering safe, consistent, and high‑quality repair outcomes for our customers. Our team is currently developing enhanced quality management processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and standardized repair execution practices across Canada. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Shop Supervisors, Technicians, Project Managers, Repairs Product Group technical support, and the Global Repairs Quality Manager. Our team culture is built on collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Team members are located across various Canadian service locations.

    What you'll do

    • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Service Center's Quality Management System in alignment with global standards.
    • Plan, perform, and document inspections, work packages, quality checks, and technical reporting for internal and third‑party repairs.
    • Build and lead the Repairs QA/QC function, ensuring inspectors and technical personnel maintain high competency levels.
    • Review nonconformances and customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including lean practices, 5S, and standardized work.
    • Oversee safe and profitable repair order execution from quotation through invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate workflow.
    • Manage SAP repair item creation, quotations, parts ordering, tracking, and financial reconciliation.
    • Coordinate repair resources, customer communication, and operational support to enable on‑time and on‑budget repair completion.

    Who you are

    • You bring a degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • You have 4–5 years of experience in QA/QC, repairs coordination, or similar operational roles.
    • You are knowledgeable about industry QA/QC practices, standards, compliance requirements, and audit methodologies.
    • You have strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset.
    • You demonstrate strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities across technical and non‑technical groups.
    • You are proficient with SAP, Salesforce, RMS, and MS Office tools.
    • You excel in fast‑paced environments, managing multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
    • Nice to have: Auditor or Lead Auditor certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), bilingualism (English/French), and experience with repair activities such as machining, welding, or assembly.

    What's in it for you
