Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology is seeking one outstanding individual for a position as a Design Thinking Fellow in the Master of Engineering Design program for a two-year term.

The Fellowship is effective January 2023. The position is part-time, up to five (5) hours per week. Fellows are expected to be available to come to McMaster's main campus, as needed. Please note, McMaster University has implemented a Vaccine Policy.

Applicants must be graduates of the Master of Engineering program in the Walter G. Booth School of Engineering Practice and Technology.

Applicants must have a strong capability for design thinking, an inclination for teaching and mentoring others in design thinking, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Relevant practice experience would be an asset.

The duties of a Fellow include:

  • Assisting faculty in design-related courses.
  • Mentoring of student design projects.
  • Sharing their experiences with current and prospective students of the Master of Engineering Design.
  • Contributing to workshops on design thinking.
