Description

Connex Personnel is currently recruiting a Construction Management Representative (CMR) for an upcoming project in Bishops Falls, NL.

As a CMR, you will act as the engineering representative for contractor inspection and management.

Responsibilities will include conducting tailboards, completing inspector daily reports, issuing permits, and ensuring the contractor is following their safety plan and the companies.

The scope of work by a contractor is the installation of a secondary Spillway Gantry Crane.

The work includes the use of a crane and barge setup to deliver and install gantry crane components to the Spillway from a loading location upstream of the spillway.

The work also includes the associated electrical and controls work to power and commission the new crane.

Anticipated Start Date:
Sept 5, 2023

Estimated duration:

Estimated duration is approximately 5-6 weeks with an expected minimum 14-day continuous shift during the barge operations starting on Sept 11.

Work schedule is 10hrs/day.

Required background/experience:

Construction management background, experience working within hydro generation, with experience on Exploits Generation sites and with marine/barge operations considered an asset.

Required training:

First Aid

WHMIS
Powerline Hazards

Work Protection Code training would be an asset.

Working schedule shall align with the Contractor's schedule as stated above.

CMR must use their personal laptop, cell phone with camera and have all basic PPE.
