Our goal is to double the number of guests using our app every month. We're quickly growing the team and need a
Manager, Risk Analytics & Reporting in our Toronto office.

You will be supporting the financial services business unit in the implementation and execution of an effective risk governance and management program - managing and overseeing market risk, data governance, and risk reporting.

What you'll do:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the Director, Risk & Compliance, and financial services senior management with actionable insights to make informed, riskbased decisions.
  • Leads execution of market risk analyses for all financial services products, services, and partnerships.
  • Develops and executes statistical risk management methods / models, including the use of Value at Risk (VaR) calculations, portfolio analyses, current and forwardlooking indicators, and other methods, as needed.
  • Continually monitors and reviews the effectiveness of risk management methods / models, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk limits.
  • Continually monitors and reviews changing market conditions, business operations, and regulatory developments for their impact on market and related risks (i.e., liquidity risks).
  • Collaborate with Financial Services Performance and Credit Risk to support liquidity risk analyses and provide holistic reporting of financial risks.
  • Collaborate with related enterprise and financial services functions such as financial services operations and information technology to improve risk data aggregation and risk reporting.
  • Prepare and submit financial risk reporting to the Director, Risk & Compliance, senior management, relevant committees, and other stakeholders, as needed.
  • Consolidate and prepare management reporting across the Risk & Compliance Program.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise and with third party partners to build on and improve the identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks for financial services.
  • Support and execute ad hoc requests as assigned.

What you'll bring:


REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, or risk management.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in risk management, finance and/or statistics.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Proficiency in VBA, SQL, Python, and/or other languages / data / reporting tools.
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize and articulate complex information from various sources.
  • CFA, CPA, or FRM designation is considered an asset.
