Job Profile:

There are two (2) openings for the above position within the Infrastructure Services Department, Operations Division available immediately.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Roads, this role is responsible to perform activities related to the operation and maintenance of the City's infrastructure.

What you will be doing:

Maintenance construction and/or repair work related to roads, road allowances, storm sewers, storm water management areas, catch basins, ditches, sidewalks and curbs, and Public Works facility areas
Safe operation manual and motorized hand tools
Safe operation of trucks, frontend loaders, jack hammers, and other hand and

power equipment

Be responsible to work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and established city policies/procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with the general public in a positive, courteous and respectful manner.

Education:

High school Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

Minimum Requirements:

Valid Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

DZ Driver's License.

Ability to operate small maintenance tools and hand tools.

Meets requirements of Physical Demands Analysis for position.

Your compensation:

This unionized position (Outside Workers) current hourly rate of pay is $26.37 per hour (Probationary Rate may apply). Comprehensive Benefits Package including OMERS included.
