The Delivery / Set-up Technician is a member of the Aquatech Dewatering team and is responsible for loading, delivering and picking up equipment and supplies as well as assist in pump setups and teardowns as required. The Delivery / Set-up Technician will also demonstrate a continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turn-around times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service to our customers


Responsibilities:


  • Load and deliver rental equipment to external and internal customers;
  • Ensure equipment being delivered is properly identified on the appropriate documentation and verification of receipt is received by customer;
  • Load and pick up rental equipment from customer sites;
  • Inspect equipment upon loading, note any defects, broken, damaged equipment; liaise with customer as required for damages, including pictures and proper sign offs;
  • Unload equipment in a designated area upon arrival to the yard;
  • Separate the damaged equipment/accessories from nondamaged equipment accessories;
  • Return documentation with all recorded information to the Supervisor;
  • Inform Supervisor of any damages to equipment;
  • Perform clean up duties in the shop and yard when no driving/deliveries are required;
  • Assist in Pump Watch activities (day, evenings and weekends) as required;
  • Respond to emergency field service calls;
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record;
  • Operate company trucks in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Perform daily inspections of the vehicle and document as required;
  • This position may entail travel to remote sites within Ontario to ensure efficient and proper functioning of equipment through regular service or repair;
  • Adhere to and uphold Aquatech's H&S Policy & OHSA, PPE requirements;
  • Comprehensive training in construction industry health and safety, maintain certification responsibilities of same, including all necessary training and certifications in order to perform job.

Qualifications and Required Experience

  • Diploma in Water / Wastewater Management Treatment an asset (OIT certification an asset)
  • Valid Ontario G Driver's license, in good standing
  • Mechanical aptitude an asset
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, reach and grasp
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds frequently and on a daily basis
  • Willing to work weekends and on call 24/
  • AZ Drivers license an asset
