Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our
Marketing Team in Dartmouth, NS as a Tender / Bid Specialist Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Tender / Bid Specialist is responsible for searching for and identifying tender/bid opportunities, working with sales and operations staff to prepare and submit bid packages, and maintaining an ongoing record of bids, wins, and loses.

This role is also responsible for completing questionnaires from customers.

Responsibilities

Diligently searches online bid resources (initial list provided)
Evaluates opportunities for viability and fit
Works with marketing, sales, and operations staff to prepare submissions
Collects technical specifications
Maintains a database of key assets to increase consistency and efficiency
Edits submissions for accuracy
Submits bid proposals on time and according to guidelines
Works across multiple business units
Matches projects with appropriate branches
Maintains an ongoing record of tender/bid opportunities and status
Regularly reports to management

Requirements:

Experience with writing proposals required
Experience in sales would be an asset
Strong problemsolving abilities
Strong communication and written abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Technical writing abilities
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
