Description

Matrix is hiring Operators for various sites in Calgary, AB. The operators will be operating Excavators, Dozers, Skidsteers, and Bobcats. The pay range is $28-40 depending on the machine, as well as experience & proficiency.

Primary responsibilities:

Operate machines (Excavators, dozers, skid steers, bobcats)
Daily maintenance of the machine
Document all operating hours, time started, end etc
Perform a daily safety check before operation and after
Ensure the machine is placed in a safe position when not operating
Take preventative measures regarding machine systems
Take directions from the ground crew
Knowledge of reading plans
Follow SWP for special operations
General bulk out
Load trucks
Work in tight spaces if digging trenches
Detailoriented and careful when detailing mechanical trenching, slab prep or foundation work and detailing column bases

Other responsibilities include:

Assisting with tarp placement over soil piles during nonworking hours
Willingness to perform miscellaneous labour duties if no trucks or other digging is required
Attending site meetings such as crew talks or weekly safety meetings as worker rep for trade (this will rotate with everyone on site)

Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail
Must be able to work with little supervision
Must be able to follow direction

Requirements:

Valid Driver's Licence
Minimum 2 years of experience
