Health and Safety/HR Coordinator

What you will be doing:


  • Coordinate, draft and plan training provided by HRS for our clients.
  • Attend client workplaces to conduct orientation and onboarding training with new employees.
  • Act as a recording secretary during JHSC meetings for clients.
  • Coordinate WSIB and Functional Ability Forms and support the accommodation process.
  • Act as a liaison with our internal marketing to develop social media, newsletter and podcast content.
  • Act as the main point of contact/expert for asynchronous training.
  • Provide support to Advisors by conducting research and drafting client documents to support clients' understanding of compliance, legislation and risks.
  • Support the fullcycle recruitment process (organize job postings, perform prescreens, references, etc.).
  • Support advisors on projects while providing updates to advisors and clients.
  • Perform administrative, organizational, and coordinative tasks to support the timely delivery of client advice, services, and products; including maintaining client database, billing process, coordinate meetings, maintaining internal tools, administer various client programs.

What you need to succeed:


  • A postsecondary degree or diploma in business, arts, political science, human resources, health and safety, training and/or adult learning.
  • Minimum oneyear experience working in a customer/clientfacing or professional service role; with interest and ability to communicate, connect and care for all types of people; with the ability to understand and adapt to different behaviours and personalities.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of Ontario Employment Law, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other applicable legislation/regulations.
  • Strong analytical, critical inquiry/problem solving and mathematical reasoning skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and productivity software.
  • Excellent communication and customer/client relationship skills.
  • Willingness to obtain education and relevant certifications and designations such as JHSC Certification, CHRP, RPR, PCP, CRST, etc.
  • Ability to occasionally attend client work locations.
