Proudly constructing the Valley Line West LRT
The City of Edmonton selected Marigold Infrastructure Partners to design and build the 14-kilometre Valley Line West LRT project from downtown to Lewis Farms.
Marigold is a design-build joint venture agreement between Colas and Parsons.
As we move into our next stages of construction, we require an
Electrical Superintendent, Streetlights Traffic Signals, to join our time.
Summary:
The Electrical Superintendent
- Streetlights, Traffic Signals is responsible for overseeing all project aspects related to below & aboveground Utilities. This role is responsible for directing and coordinating between Utility Companies and subtrades as required to execute the Construction, Commissioning and servicing of the Street lighting & Traffic Signals areas of the Project.
Responsibilities:
- At all times, adhere to project's ECO plan, Quality Plan, all applicable legislation; lead by example
- Coordinate/Liaise with project design & construction teams in concert with the Edmonton Valley Line West design and the Utility Companies and subtrades projects as well as oversee the execution of their assigned scope.
- Coordinate with relevant entities and stakeholders with respect to the allocation of sufficient schedule and sequencing to facilitate the design and construction of signals within the overall Project schedule.
- Maintain ongoing, proactive and cooperative communications with all utility companies and any pipeline companies affected by the project.
- Support the approval of permits required by utilities and traffic. You will lead or monitor the investigation and resolution of unanticipated situations that would arise during the conduct of the project involving utilities.
- Participate in regular meetings relevant to design mitigations, work plans and/or agreements necessary for elimination of conflicts and delivery of the Project
Requirements:
- 4year degree in engineering, technology field, or constructionrelated, (or equivalent constructionrelated work experience), as well as a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Utility management, performing similar functions as outlined above on a similar brownfield project in an urban environment is required in Canada or US at least once since 2010.
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of the interconnectivity of municipal infrastructure and its design and construction processes, sequencing, and durations.
- Valid driver's license, preferably with clean abstract
- Ability to negotiate the terrain of an inprocess construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, working atheights, and outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather (cold, heat, dust, smoke, noise.)
- Computerliterate and excellent communication skills, including technical.
