Duties

As Vice President of Operations, reporting directly to the Chairman, duties shall include, but not limited to the following:

  • Oversee day-to-day company operations.
  • Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes and guide operations management in compliance with government and regulatory agency guidelines and laws relative to food safety.
  • Drafting and ensuring adherence to pertinent budget.
  • Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations.
  • Coordinate support to operations throughout the business.
  • Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations management team.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the senior management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in a relevant businessoriented stream.
  • A minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience in a pertinent managerial position or similar role in the Canadian food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding and background in food safety.
  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in implementing EOS, Lean Six Sigma or ISO Management System.
  • Assertive and clear style of communication.
  • Strategic thinking, honesty, and ethics in business dealings.
  • Unmatched budgeting, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Topnotch supervisory and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to embark on local and international travel, as needed.
