Beamish Construction is looking for a hardworking, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Supervisor in Elliot Lake, ON.

The Supervisor will require a high level of motivation, professionalism, and independence. This is a full-time permanent position available with competitive wages and a benefits package.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide supervision and direction to crew in order to meet quality and production standards
Coordinate equipment, labour and trucking with the Superintendent
Responsible for dispatching and operating winter snow removal operations
Review contract drawings and plans to ensure specifications are followed
Review and adhere to project schedules
Complete daily supervisor diary and timesheet
Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Valid G license
AZ/DZ is an asset
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years' experience in the civil construction field
Experience in a management position is considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to plan construction projects by studying plans, coordinating with Project Superintendent, Project Manager and Logistics Coordinator.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints and scopes of work
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental, Human Resources policies
