Summary:


The incumbent is responsible for managing the daily content of Sports 30 and the news programs we produce while respecting the editorial line and RDS objectives established with the management team.

He is an outstanding communicator, liaising with members of the newsroom, the web and programming. Manages the people in the various newsroom beats.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manages all daily news content at all times (planning, coordination, development of concepts and specials, etc.).
  • Actively participates in digital development
  • Leads daily production meetings
  • Ensures, within his/her team, the following aspects of management: coaching, training, professional development, motivation, communication and performance management
  • Ensures daily quality control
  • Ensures coordination with other departments and internal stakeholders for potential collaborations with other services (twin covers, sponsorships, technical requests, etc.)
  • Supported by the Senior Administration/Production Manager, manages the budgets allocated to the show (special coverage/events, collaborators, etc.).
  • Other related tasks

Critical Qualifications:


  • Experience in managing and producing a daily program (3 to 5 years)
  • Indepth knowledge of sports
  • Digital production talent and skills to develop original multiplatform concepts
  • Excellent knowledge of social media and television trends
  • Excellent knowledge of stage management work
  • Fluency in French and good knowledge of English
  • Basic budget and human resources management skills
