Are you an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Are you seeking a new sales challenge? Our client in the Peel region, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to enhance their team in Southwestern Ontario.
With a strong knowledge and passion towards commercial and residential building materials, you will maximize sales within an assigned territory while building and maintaining strong client relations, identifying new opportunities and closing deals.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:- Drive sales within an assigned territories, identifying the needs of customers to expand existing relationships and maintain product demand for retailers
- Build and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential customers
- Follow up on estimates provided to potential customers
- Prepare quotes and estimates for existing customers and process orders to the internal team
- Share updates and technical information on existing and upcoming product lines to customers
- Provide customers with updates on order shipments and respond to customer inquiries as needed
- Network and build relationships with potential clients in assigned routes
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of market trends
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to prepare sales related documentation
- Brainstorm ideas and concepts on how to better service existing potential clients
- Monitor and meet sales goals outlined in the Sales strategy
- Maintain extensive knowledge of product offerings
- 3-5+ years' experience, preferably in the building materials industry
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Communications, Marketing or a related field, is an asset
- Strong knowledge and passion towards the building materials
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Programs
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of contacts, both verbally and in writing
- Effective presentation skills
- Superior relationship management skills with a focus on establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and clients
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to solve problems
- Selfdriven and focused on achieving results
- Ability to stay motivated while dealing with rejection
- Must be comfortable to travel frequently. Overnight when required.
