Description
Solar panel installers are responsible for installing solar panels and related equipment on residential or commercial properties.

As a solar panel installer, your job duties may include:


  • Reviewing project plans and specifications to determine installation requirements
  • Conducting site surveys and assessments to identify potential installation issues
  • Assembling and installing solar panels, racking systems, and other related equipment
  • Running and connecting wiring and conduit from solar panels to electrical systems
  • Testing and verifying proper operation of installed systems
  • Maintaining and repairing installed systems, as needed
  • Collaborating with other team members, such as engineers, electricians, and project managers, to ensure successful project completion
  • Following safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:


  • Experience in solar panel installation or a related field, such as electrical or roofing
  • Knowledge of electrical and construction codes and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Attention to detail and quality control
  • Understanding of safety procedures and best practices in solar panel installation

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$18.00-$30.00 per hour

  • Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
