    Full-Time Pastor/Elder



    About Us:

    Balmoral Bible Chapel in Red Deer, AB is currently seeking to hire a full-time paid elder to join our vibrant community.

    Our congregation of 80 to 100 believers has strong roots in the Open Christian Brethren tradition.

    Our mission is to passionately pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ while actively engaging in ministry to impact our local community.

    As a church, we are committed to expository Bible preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, leadership development, and evangelism.

    The leadership of our church consists of Elders and Deacons who operate in mutual submission to one another's gifts and prefer to make decisions through consensus.

    The successful applicant will become part of the elders†board and work closely with them in leading the body.


    Who We Are Looking For:
    We are in search of an individual who is passionate about serving the Lord and His people.

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills:


    Preaching:

    Ability to preach up to 75% of the time, approximately 2-3 times per month, with a demonstrated gift in expository Bible preaching that effectively communicates scripture in a relevant and applicable manner.


    Pastoral Care:
    Ability to provide pastoral care, including praying with, caring for, and loving the congregation, demonstrating a shepherd's heart.

    Discipleship and Leadership Development:

    Capability to lead congregants into deeper faithfulness to Jesus Christ, mentoring and training them in the use of their spiritual gifts.


    Evangelism:
    Passion for evangelism and assisting the church in becoming more effective in reaching our community for Christ.


    Requirements:
    Undergraduate level of biblical studies or related training preferred.
    Leadership experience in a church setting is desirable.
    Alignment with the Statement of Beliefs and the Lifestyle and Morality Standards of Balmoral Bible Chapel.
    Flexibility to adjust expectations based on the applicant's gifting.
