Payroll Manager to our HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and support a busy team of payroll administrators, demonstrating strong team building and motivational skills
- Complete full cycle biweekly payroll processing for commission, salary and hourly employees' total payroll over 6000
- Maintain time & attendance tracking system
- Issue ROEs and prepare payroll reports as requested
- Respond to payroll inquiries from retail locations with urgency and be a solution provider
- Be a competent collaborator and skilled crossfunctional communicator; working closely with retail locations and other areas within the organization
- Be accountable for quality of work performed
- Some accounting required
Experience Required:
- 58 years management experience in a busy payroll environment
- 5 years of highvolume retail and payroll experience
- Knowledge of ADP, Kronos and Workforce Now (WFN) a must
- Knowledge of current Canadian legislative requirements and CRA regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Skilled in preparing detailed reports, as well as evaluating and analyzing technical payroll activities
- Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation and analysis
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee personnel files
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills required
- Must display a positive attitude, be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure, without sacrificing detail
- Selfstarter and team player with strong leadership skills; able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to interpret, implement and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of process improvement
