With over a century of success under of belts (and still growing), LFL group is looking to add an experienced full-time
Payroll Manager to our HR team.

This position is based out of Leon's Home Office in Toronto, Ontario.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead, mentor and support a busy team of payroll administrators, demonstrating strong team building and motivational skills
  • Complete full cycle biweekly payroll processing for commission, salary and hourly employees' total payroll over 6000
  • Maintain time & attendance tracking system
  • Issue ROEs and prepare payroll reports as requested
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from retail locations with urgency and be a solution provider
  • Be a competent collaborator and skilled crossfunctional communicator; working closely with retail locations and other areas within the organization
  • Be accountable for quality of work performed
  • Some accounting required

Experience Required:


  • 58 years management experience in a busy payroll environment
  • 5 years of highvolume retail and payroll experience
  • Knowledge of ADP, Kronos and Workforce Now (WFN) a must
  • Knowledge of current Canadian legislative requirements and CRA regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Skilled in preparing detailed reports, as well as evaluating and analyzing technical payroll activities
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation and analysis
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee personnel files
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills required
  • Must display a positive attitude, be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure, without sacrificing detail
  • Selfstarter and team player with strong leadership skills; able to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to interpret, implement and adhere to organizational policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of process improvement
