This
Gradesperson will work under the supervision of a foreperson setting grades, checking elevations, dumping trucks, and working with heavy equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read and interpret construction drawings
Use survey instruments to establish correct line and grade
Identify any conflicts and report to site supervisor
Work with engineers and surveyors to solve problems
Achieve correct grade by directing operators of equipment to adjust grade by moving earth, gravel, and other materials
Measure distances from reference points or offsets to accurately install utilities

Requirements:

Experience as a Grade Person considered an asset
Valid drivers license and own mode of transportation
Ability to work outdoors in various types of weather conditions (cold, rain, heat, etc,)
Ability to walk long distances
