Overview:

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and requirements
Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and form metal components
Use power tools, such as grinders and saws, to fabricate and assemble metal parts
Perform machining tasks, including drilling, tapping, and milling
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

Proven experience as machinist; possessing a Journeyman Ticket
Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role
Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation
Familiarity with CAD software, such as SolidWorks
Ability to use power tools effectively and safely
Excellent precision machining and bench skills.
Basic knowledge of Silvercut CNC 9 Software to control Machitech Plasma table
Experience in fabricating metal components using machining techniques
Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plus
Ability to accurately use measuring tools, such as calipers
Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, or equivalent.
Certified Red Seal Machinist with a minimum of 2 Years Journeyperson Experience required.
Welding, Fabrication, Repair, and Basic CNC Design and Programming required

Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
