    LEAD PIPING ENGINEER

    LOCATION: 2000, 250 6 Ave SW Calgary, Alberta

    Our Calgary office is a multidisciplinary team of designers, technologists, and engineers. We specialize in small to mid-sized projects for clients across Canada. The types of clients we work for include:

    1. Heavy Industrial Facilities
    2. Pipelines and Pipeline Facilities
    3. Refineries and Processing Facilities
    4. Mineral Processing
    5. Municipal & Utilities
    6. Water treatment
    7. Energy Transition (CO2, Hydrogen, RNG, Renewables and associated minerals)

    We are currently searching for a Lead Piping Engineer to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. Mechanical team members will work closely with a group of engineering professionals and will gain valuable hands-on engineering experience in a challenging and versatile engineering consulting environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Lead and oversee a team of piping, stress, pipeline, and materials engineers.
    2. Ensure the quality and accuracy of Piping Engineering deliverables.
    3. Hire, train, and mentor engineers and supporting staff.
    4. Generate engineering hour estimates, resource loading, and forecasting.
    5. Ensure effective use of global workshare to meet corporate requirements.
    6. Assist in leading and execution of project deliverables.
    7. Develop, maintain, and monitor Piping Engineering procedures and standards.
    8. Liaise with Piping, Mechanical, and Project Management.
    9. Review and manage Client requirements and expectations.
    10. Develop, manage, and implement project specifications.
    11. Assist upper management in short/term planning and business strategies.
    12. Coordinate staff performance reviews and training.
    13. Assist with business development and client relationships.
    14. Industry networking and contacts.

    KEY SKILLS:

    Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership, mentorship, and supervisory skills. Experience in managing multi-discipline teams, including global workshare. Effectively resolve interdisciplinary issues, or concerns that arise within a team environment. Broad exposure to natural gas, conventional oil and heavy oil facility design and construction. Must be familiar with ABSA, regulatory and code requirements, including CSA, ASME and API Piping Engineering and Stress Analysis.

    EDUCATION:

    Successful candidate will be Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the province of Alberta. Mechanical Engineering degree. Minimum 15+ year's oil and gas experience (with EPCM background).
