Student assistant will be trained to read and code Saskatchewan prisonerproduced articles from identified, digitized holdings.
In consultation with the supervisor, the student assistant will determine major themes and historical events which merit further research.
Student may be trained to locate relevant items published in Saskatchewan's major newspapers, Coroner and Correctional Investigator reports, and government Hansards.

Position Requirements

The student must be enrolled in the fourth year of the honours program in English, or in the MA program in English.

Preference will be given to students who are familiar with the concept/process of working with "subjugated knowledges." Preference will be given to students with demonstrated excellence in writing.

Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 2419 Salary Range As per CUPE 2419 Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours

This is an hourly position with variable hours per week (approximately 10 hours weekly), commencing August 30, 2023 and ending December 8, with the possibility of an extension.
