We are currently seeking a
Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position.


Summary
The Marketing/Communications Coordinator is responsible for aiding in the development and implementation of all marketing and communications strategies. They will aid in designing enhancements to and development of communications and marketing programs in order to promote services. Some marketing goals include maintaining the brand integrity and strategically positioning the Company as a trusted source. They are responsible for helping to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging that speaks to the community at large. This individual must be aware of current trends and react quickly to changes in the industry. They will have frequent interactions with external and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and help to develop and implement new marketing programs, including direct mail, corporate sales, Internet marketing, conventions, workshops, advertisements, social media, sales tools and other initiatives.
  • Responsible for promoting brand initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the development and/or creation of new social media or website content
  • Create engaging and persuasive content for marketing materials, website, blogs, social media, press releases, and other communication channels
  • Identify changes in the market (through the monitoring of various social media sites and online publications).
  • Provide market research supporting any suggestions of new marketing and/or communications initiative.
  • Facilitate internal communication efforts, ensuring all departments are wellinformed about marketing campaigns, product updates, and company news.
  • Determine target markets and their various characteristics, aiming to broaden the appeal of the Companies brand.
  • Build communications templates.
  • Help to ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
  • Assist in managing the marketing budget, track expenses, and ensure costeffective marketing strategies.
  • Produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages.
  • Develop marketing plans within budget requirements.
  • Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
  • Analyze potential new products/media to enhance the marketing/communications work of the Company
  • Ensure that all materials are developed and distributed according to an appropriate timeline.
  • Oversee the development, management and maintenance of all online communication vehicles, including but not limited to:
  • Website
  • Emails
  • Online social media (including Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc).
  • Plan and manage external communications efforts, including but not limited to:
  • Publicity for special events.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • French language proficiency is an asset
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Knowledge/Experience

  • Post-Secondary degree/diploma in marketing, advertising, sales, or business administration, Communications or Journalism or equivalent.
  • 3 years of work experience to include the handling of communications, original writing and editing
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation and spelling.
  • 3 years of direct work experience in a marketing capacity.
  • Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
  • Direct experience with graphic design, Web page, and other marketingrelated software tools
  • Experience with desktop publishing and Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe suite
  • Knowledge of printing procedures and requirements
  • Ex. Wordpress
