**Senior Transit Facilities Electrical/Mechanical Engineer

  • Project Manager** responsible for all aspects of client and designteam management of

_commuter transit and rail projects to take on a significant role in the GTA region. _

Specific responsibilities include coordinating the planning and design and process as well as managing the development of plans, specifications and construction estimate packages.

  • Project Manager** will manage the oversight of major commuter rail transit projects and must be able to

  • Provide expert opinion, prepare high level reports, and deliver presentations.
  • Possess strong management and leadership skills, driving the successful completion of projects.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with individuals and in presentations to multidisciplined groups.
  • Have experience working as part of owners team in high pace large rail and transit projects
  • Demonstrate experience with city of Toronto infrastructure, TRCA, MTO, and other key stakeholders for rapid rail and transit protects.
  • Demonstrate experience with roads, utilities, and other civil works in the context of a rail and transit project

Primary duties would include:


  • Serve as a Project Manager, including all aspects of client and designteam management of light rail, subway, and commuter rail projects.
  • Manage the preparation of plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise project teams to ensure good contract performance.
  • Have full managerial responsibility for all aspects of the project including scope development, contract negotiations, cost control, staff management, quality control and cash management.
  • Actively manage client's budget, schedule and program, project communications and documentation.
  • Coordinate work efforts and reviews work performed and all project plans.
  • Be responsible for managing and delivering quality civil transportation projects ontime, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer Designation (P. Eng) is required
  • 15+ years' progressive experience in the planning, design, management and implementation of rail and transit related projects.
  • Experience managing successful, profitable large rail transit projects is required
  • International work experience with an emphasis on working in the GTA Region
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a special focus on working on diverse and crosscultural teams
  • Design/build experienced highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership in marketing of largescale projects as well as project development ranging from planning, alternatives analysis, environmental process, permitting, final design,
