Under technical direction designs, analyzes and models organizational and third party data and provides business insights.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities_
Provides reporting and analytics services to capitalize on diverse sources of data to improve decision making.
Follow and implement enterprise data standards, guidelines and best practices.
Contributes to the evolution of the Data and Analytics team by developing improvements to data availability and quality.
Performs data modeling for the purpose of quantifying the performance of the business area and evaluating operational changes.
Interprets data and identifies relevant analyses as well as identify usecases.
Monitors trends over time and provides actionable insights that support the active management of the business area.
Clearly presents findings and recommendations to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Adheres to legal guidelines regarding critical and confidential information.
Executes tasks with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Partners with other analytical teams across the organization and/or participate in special projects.
Builds dashboards and prepares reports for business units.
Responds to and fulfills adhoc data requests.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities_
Experience in a data analytics role, preferably in insurance industry.
Knowledge of core functions of an insurance company, general insurance and statistical, financial, and economic concepts, which may include a specialty area of the business.
Fluent in SQL, Python, and Cloud technology. Experience with GCP is a bonus.
Experience with Looker, Tableau, Alteryx, Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence are an asset.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with ability to effectively interact with senior levels of internal and external leadership.
Solid analytical and problem solving skills to effectively resolve complex situations and issues while demonstrates attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, manage time and resources to accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage work deliverables/projects effectively.
Education and Experience_
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
Typically a minimum of four years of related work experience
