Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, we are looking to add individuals who are highly motivated with a great attitude to our close-knit team in the role of General Labourer, based in Bracebridge, Ontario.

We offer a competitive compensation package including:

Day shift, Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.[CC1]
Starting hourly wage of $19/hour raising to $21.50/hour after 3 months

General Labourer - Production

Key Responsibilities:

Assists with setup and maintenance of the production machines
Operates machinery in a safe manner; feeds conveyors, hoppers, saws and drying machines
Removes scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
Saws, trims, and planes rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes
Conducts quality checks on logs before staining and packing
Assists the stain team with staining logs
Maintains cleanliness of machines and immediate work areas
Performs repairs on factory machinery, as required (i.e., replace blades or bands, etc.)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, is considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Selfmotivated and willing to tackle challenges head on with a positive attitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
