Support is extended to their family members and caregivers and to those grieving the loss of a loved one.

Let's Talk about the role

The Housekeeper is responsible for routine cleaning of all areas of the hospice including resident suites, nursing station, kitchen and dining areas, public spaces, program spaces, administrative offices and restrooms.

Regular duties include wiping equipment, cleaning furniture and floors, emptying trash, restocking supplies and vacuuming using various cleaning chemicals, disinfectants and equipment.

This position is accountable for the terminal clean of resident rooms as required, ensuring proper infection prevention and control policies are being followed.

Additionally, this role assists with making beds and laundry.

The Housekeeper will work with the Director, Residential Care to develop an effective cleaning schedule in order to maintain the highest standards of hygiene in a healthcare setting.

The details

Monday to Sunday, 10am 4pm, alternating between 4 days one week and 3 days the following week and every other weekend
Ability to lift, push, pull and move house cleaning equipment and supplies (in excess of 40lbs)
Vulnerable Sector check and proof of vaccinations required
