Description

In this key role, you will manage, direct and drive Presales Security Experts (SE's) (aka Systems Engineers) assigned to Enterprise and Major Accounts in your assigned region.

Create and implement strategic plans focused on attaining enterprise-wide deployments of Fortinet products and services. Develop executive relationships with key buyers and influencers in Major accounts and leverage these relationships.

Your team's key focus would be solution architecting but they would also be responsible for conducting POC's (Proof of Concepts), technical solution demos, working with Fortinet partners, coordinating with appropriate internal groups to generate and deliver winning Contract Bids, Proposals, BOMs, RFI/RFP Responses as well as assist in providing requirements for Statements of Work for our Pro Serv team.

Your team will be strategically working hand in hand with Sales Account Managers to build successful business and strong long-term relationships with our customers and partners.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and motivate a team of Presales Security Experts (SE's) focused on Enterprise and Major accounts in a region.
  • Develop short and long term technical account plans to achieve goals and exceed quota
  • Maximize Fortinet opportunity while providing value added solutions to Enterprise customers
  • Manage a high performance SE team that will serve as the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/ educate the customer on solutions including features, benefits, specifications, functionality and integration.
  • Work closely together with the Sales Director, Account Managers, Presales Security Experts and overlay specialist teams in order to provide leading Cyber Security focused solutions to customers and prospects to maximize growth
  • Previous experience or ability to deal with escalations
  • You will be a team leader that is responsible for the quality and success of technical resources so it will be important to ensure your team stays up to date on the latest technical training, security and industry trends and is well versed in ever evolving solution architectures in Cyber Security and Networking
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers, influencers and partners
  • Responsible for weekly, quarterly and yearly analysis of the business your team is involved with to ensure targets are being achieved
  • Regular travel within assigned territory is required as well as occasional travel out of region to conferences, events and meetings

Required Skills:

years' experience in a technical presales capacity

Previous experience managing a team of high performing individuals

  • 5+ years' experience in Cyber Security Solutioning and/or Networking
  • Experience with as many of the following solutions is strongly desired: End Point Protection, Enterprise Networking and Security, Zero Trust Access, Security Operations, VOIP, Cloud Security and Virtualization, Centralized Management and Analytics
  • Strong understanding of internetbased protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, SMTPS, SSL, etc
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Vulnerability protection and Antimalware.
  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required
  • Excellent presentation skills to different types of audiences from C level to technical is considered a major asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience with reporting tools such as SFDC and Tableau
  • A selfmotivated, independent thinker that can manage a team to move deals through the selling cycle

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree, postsecondary diploma or equivalent experience in network security industry
  • Managerial training or coaching is considered an asset
  • Third party Vendor certifications and/or industry certifications is considered an asset
  • Fortinet NSE certifications considered an asset, primarily any from NSE 4 to 7
