Your Role and Responsibilities

As a project manager, you will lead both functional and technical teams (client and IBM) through the full life cycle of Maximo implementation projects.

You will establish the industry-standard processes (as defined in both the PMBok and IBM Delivery Standards) for managing these critical Maximo projects for clients across many different industries.

You will utilize your knowledge and expertise to resolve key delivery issues and establish new processes to prevent these issues from re-occurring.

You will establish key communication processes in support of the delivery of these transformational solutions.

You will lead teams of technical and functional resources of all levels, including offshore delivery teams, to successfully deliver these critical client projects.

You will gain experience leading some of the best Maximo resources available to transform the way our clients manage and maintain their critical assets.


Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate and administer all aspects of an IBM Maximo Asset Management client implementation including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, communicating and controlling project and program activities.
  • Work with various implementation methodologies (waterfall, hybridAgile and Agile) to plan and implement Maximo solutions for clients in various industries
  • Plan the delivery of the overall project and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals.
  • Develop a projectspecific budget and operating plan and deliver to that plan
  • Manage the project client relationships with the goal of achieving a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure that project and program activities operate within the policies and procedures of both the client and IBM organizations.
  • Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards.
  • Develop forms, reports, and records to document program activities
  • Supervise project and program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback.
  • Liaise with other project managers and team leads to ensure effective and efficient project and program delivery.
  • Coordinate the delivery of services among different project activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Regular reporting on the project to client and IBM management.
  • Monitor and approve all planned expenditures.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with project activities and take appropriate action to control the risks.
  • Report evaluation findings to the project and program leadership and recommend changes to enhance the project or program, as appropriate.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of COTS/ERP/EAM Project Management experience, with at least 10 years total IT experience.
  • Must have recent experience (2 to 3 projects) as Project Manager for IBM Maximo Asset Management based Project implementation.
  • Excellent knowledge of program and project management
  • Experience in working with client groups and knowledge in developing ways to resolve issues related to the program and project management area.
  • Capacity for managing several parallel initiatives, identifying and balancing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership and relationship management skills.
  • Has demonstrated drive and high energy to achieve results.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • PMP certification.
