About the Role


Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, the Director of Event Services provides strategic leadership and specialized expertise in event production, speaker network administration, community engagement, and facilities management.

The Director of Event Services is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive framework that critically emphasizes integrating these essential domains with avenues for fostering business expansion, managing stakeholders, and promoting commercialization opportunities.


This role's key accountabilities include:

Event Production: Collaborating with the other departments, the Director will be responsible for planning organizational events by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

Speaker Network Administration: Cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with industry-leading speakers, experts, and thought leaders within our field to position Amii as the go-to destination for high-quality, impactful presentations and thought leadership in the industry.

Community Engagement: Facilitate active involvement and collaboration with stakeholders, partners, and relevant communities to foster a supportive ecosystem and enhance Amii's visibility and influence within the industry.

Facilities Management:Provide strategic oversight and direction for managing Amii's event facilities, ensuring they meet the highest safety, functionality, and brand alignment standards.


Required Skills / Expertise

Key Responsibilities:


Event Production

  • Strategically plan, execute and evaluate all externally facing company events, ensuring alignment with overarching goals, objectives and KPIs.
  • Own event budgets, oversee vendor negotiations and obtain necessary permits and licenses to uphold compliance and budgetary guidelines.
  • Act as the inhouse Producer and On-Site Lead for marquee events, ensuring their successful execution and representation of the company.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight and leadership to event staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring all team members are equipped to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the Performance and Operations Analyst to identify and implement innovative event technology solutions that enhance event experiences and streamline operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize event experiences, increase attendance, and maximize the impact of company events on key stakeholders and target audiences.

Speaker Networking Administration

  • Oversee the selection and contracting of speaking agency support for Amii talent, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards.
  • Lead the selection, contracting, and scheduling of Amii speakers for external events, conferences, and webinars, optimizing their participation to maximize impact and visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with the Revenue Office to develop and execute strategies for promoting speaking engagements, leveraging them to drive business development opportunities and revenue growth.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of speakers and advertising initiatives, leveraging data and insights to inform future strategies and decisionmaking processes.

Community Engagement

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive Community Engagement Strategy to foster robust relationships with key stakeholders, amplify thought leadership, and enhance engagement within targeted customer segments across Event Services products.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with internal teams to identify strategic community engagement opportunities aligned with the organization's mission, values, and overarching business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations within the community that support event services product development and execution.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities within the community to identify emerging opportunities and challenges, informing strategic decisionmaking and market positioning strategies.
