    Who we're seeking:

    We're searching for exceptional candidates to grow together with us. GHD offers a wide range of services necessary for advancing land development projects from vision to reality. Our projects are managed through our Land Development offices in Mississauga, Markham, and Whitby. In the Land Development team, GHD specializes in various aspects like Master Environmental and Servicing Studies, planning, detailed design, approvals, and contract administration.

    Our Land Development Team requires a Senior Project Manager capable of working from our Waterloo, Whitby, Markham, Toronto, or Mississauga offices, preferably in Whitby or Markham. We provide a hybrid work model.

    Collaborating with a dynamic and high-performing team, this role includes a diverse array of responsibilities, such as:

    • Preparing budgets, proposals, cost estimates, and schedules, as well as leading proposal preparations
    • Engaging actively with clients, architects, planners, and industry influencers to promote GHD and its capabilities
    • Leading and coordinating site plans and subdivision projects from initial concepts to detailed design and construction
    • Keeping clients updated on project progress
    • Coordinating with sub-consultants, different disciplines, and other teams
    • Managing project schedules, budgets, and invoicing to achieve financial targets
    • Ensuring quality assurance procedures and processes are implemented
    • Maintaining effective management of project design records and files
    • Participating in staff development, assessments, and business development activities
    • Promoting GHD's profile by attending industry events and conferences

    What you'll bring to the team:

    • Post-secondary civil engineering education
    • Professional Engineer certification (an advantage, not mandatory)
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in design and management of land development projects
    • Comprehensive understanding of the Land Use Approval process and responsibilities
    • Solid technical knowledge of the core design process
    • Detail-oriented and strong time management capabilities
    • Ability to lead, coordinate multiple projects, and maintain a positive attitude in a team environment
    • Strong analytical and report writing skills
