WORLDiscoveries is the Business Development arm of Western University, Robarts Research Institute and the Lawson Health Research Institute.

The business unit serves as the exclusive advocate and agent for promising commercial and technology transfer opportunities derived from London's extensive research portfolio.

WORLDiscoveries is seeking a motivated and strong performer as a Business Development Assistant to provide on-site support our portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities:

Explore commercialization of University technologies and identify potential industry partners and receptors
Assist in Technology Project Support and Evaluation, Market Assessment and Market Research, Developmental Risk and Competitive Environment
Identifies potential industry partners, companies and markets for projects
Performs technology literature research and competitive landscape analysis
Assists in project and technology marketing, developing marketing materials, and supporting documents
Assist the Business Development Team in daytoday activities
Assist in promoting innovation culture on campus

Qualifications

Both Graduate students and Undergraduate students are invited to apply. Must be a student returning to studies in the fall

Other requirements

Technical knowledge in Science related fields with some business understanding
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Selfmotivated and selfdisciplined with a "cando" attitude
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Familiar with database searching
Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
