Communications Specialist (Full Time) - Mississauga, ON

Primary Purpose

The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing all internal communications, specifically the dissemination of information on behalf the Corporate Linde Canada team and other business unit stakeholders as needed.

They will promote positive company internal branding via the various communications platforms which exist internally. This role is also responsible for coordinating and administering the activities for community engagement.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with business units, specifically managers, senior leaders and C-Suite executives to develop communications that support Linde initiatives
  • Work closely with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and stakeholders to create communications content
  • Collaborate with client group and Sr. Manager
  • Communications & Talent Development on the most appropriate / effective manner of dissemination of communications initiatives due the nature of the content and intended audience
  • Works closely with Sr. Manager
  • Communications & Talent Development to prioritize delivery of programs and initiatives
  • Creates corporate communications calendar for LCI (Linde Canada Inc.) and lead activities related to the calendar that promote employee engagement
  • Management of the community engagement program, leading the execution of national initiatives, managing relationships with charities we support, administering donations program, maintaining the budget, tracking, reporting, and interacting with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Organizes and runs Town Hall Employee meetings and CMD (Canada Manager Dialogue) calls and any other meetings chaired by the President and / or Senior Leaders
  • Drafts content for internal audiences such as the Company website which includes special interest stories and other narratives that are engaging to employees and promote LCI's culture and brand awareness
  • Takes the lead on all internal branding initiatives in collaboration with oneup manager
  • Completes projects and special assignments by establishing objectives; determining priorities; managing budget and time; gaining cooperation of others; monitoring progress; problem solving; making adjustments to plans

Required Qualifications

Education:


  • College Diploma in Business Management, Communications, or related field of equivalent experience

Experience:


  • 3+ years of experience in communications field
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to engage comfortably with senior level employees including Csuite employees
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Positive work ethic with an attitude of "going above and beyond"
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
