- Work from prints, diagrams, specifications, and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs.
- Have a good industrial mechanical background and willing to help the Millwrights when required
- Installation, testing and inspection of work on electrical systems.
- Install system components and wiring in compliance with the CSA
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical control circuits for motors, PLC hardware and software and control devices for various electrical devices.
- Test, inspect, clean, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, assemble and maintain all manual or automatic AC and DC systems, electrical equipment, transformers, switch gear, control panels, regulators, distribution systems, generation systems and various other electrical components
- Electricians perform a variety of maintenance related tasks in connection with the maintenance department to improve the reliability and uptime of equipment used in the pulp and paper manufacturing process .
- High school diploma
- Certified Industrial Journeyman Electrician License 442A
- Good industrial mechanical knowledge
- Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to balance a variable workload
- Physically fit
- Ability to work 8 hour/day, weekly rotating shifts: midnights, afternoons, days
- Flexibility to work weekends to meet business needs
- Starting wage $41.16/hour
