About this opportunity


The Financial Reporting Analyst will assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations for all consolidated balance sheet accounts and supporting analysis for financial statement line items.

The Financial Reporting Analyst will ensure the necessary organizational and compliance controls are maintained, prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet analysis and working papers, research and explain variances from both budget and comparable prior reporting periods, and complete monthly reporting and analysis of business operational efficiency & effectiveness measures which will include both financial and statistical measures.


Take an inside look at what you'll do each day:

  • Prepare monthly operational financial statements and prepare detailed level analysis of P&L and perform detailed investigation as required.
  • Prepare monthly actual compared to budgets results and work with operations for commentary.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts;
  • Complete quarterly balance sheet analysis for all accounts on the Consolidated Balance Sheet along with supporting documentation and explanation of variances as required.
  • Additional Ad Hoc reporting as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of Operational Budgets/Forecast.
  • Preparation of Quarterly and Year End Working Papers.
  • Ongoing improvement of existing processes and systems.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor Business Administration/Management, or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in the CPA program;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in financial report analysis and account analysis and reconciliation;
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite;
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel;
  • Able to work with highly confidential information with professionalism
