Who is Native Shoes looking for?


Reporting to our Senior Manager, Planning & Sales Operations, we're looking for a Merchandise and Inventory Planner to play an integral role as we grow our eCommerce & Wholesale business.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining a demand forecast by SKU based on sales trends, revenue targets, and future campaign plans.

In doing so, you will support cross-functional teams with timely and accurate information to drive tactics to have the right product at the right place at the right time.

You will also lead day-to-day merchandising & inventory responsibilities, including reporting, discontinuations, price management, and inventory analysis.

What would I be responsible for?

  • Support Planning and Sales teams in achieving sales, margin, and inventory goals through merchandise planning, inventory planning, allocation and reporting.
  • Analyze current and historical sales and inventory data from eCommerce and Wholesale channels to inform decisions and identify opportunities.
  • Create and execute the seasonal demand planning process to forecast accurate seasonal demand plan.
  • Create SKU level buy plans.
  • Balance inventory across channels to maximize fullprice sales.
  • Collaborate on the exit strategy for discontinued items to minimize excess and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Proactively gather, analyze, and drive insights on eCommerce & Wholesale product performance.
  • Manage daily merchandising tasks, including item setups, discontinuations, product launches, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as the expert on inventory tools.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in merchandise planning and/or inventory management, preferably within a Footwear or Apparel environment
  • Previous experience with sales and product forecasting in a seasonal business
  • Strong grasp of retail metrics (ex. sellthrough, turns, margin etc.)
  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present findings in an understandable way
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Proactive and solutionsoriented selfstarter, able to work independently and in team settings
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented, but able to see and work the big picture
