    INTERN - Quality Control Summer Internship Location: Leamington, ON (On-Site) Full-time. Job Summary: This position offers the aspiring summer student an opportunity to apply the candidate's passion, skills, know-how and open mind in an industrial setting in which quality results must be delivered in a timely manner. While in the industry environment, the candidate is offered an opportunity to participate in solving meaningful industry problems that can be cited in one's CV. The working environment is a transition to a graduate school setting in which the candidate is expected to put in efforts to study on his/her own effort. Day-to-day responsibilities will consist of: Laboratory Operations: Assist the Analyst on routine analysis. Conduct routine analysis on selected samples.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Conduct HPLC assay of Cannabinoids in selected samples.
  • Conduct GC Terpenes assay on selected samples.
  • Conduct method improvement as prescribed by the Senior Scientist and QC Manager.
  • Ensure the laboratory is properly stocked with supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    • Data Analyst Role: Under the supervision of the Laboratory Management Use information technology as a competitive edge for the department and Tilray;
  • Be trained to be an advanced software user to solve the lab's data processing problems.
    • To be successful in this position the following must apply:
  • A good standard (GPA 3.0/4.0) candidate in a Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a scientific discipline is required.
  • Completed the following Chemistry courses: General Chemistry, Quantitative Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry I,
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite including Word, Excel,
  • Excellent grammar and communication skills required.
  • Good organizational skills required.
  • High attention to detail necessary.
  • Ability to work in team and individual environment
